The Essentials About Your 3D-Printed Finds
What is FDM 3D printing?
All our products are created using FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling), a method where the material is built up layer-by-layer. This process gives every item its own unique character and "digital craft" feel.
Will my product look "perfect"?
Because our items are built layer-by-layer, you will see fine layer lines and occasional small characteristics like tiny surface artifacts. These are not flaws but a signature of the 3D printing process, think of them as the "fingerprints" of modern design.
Are the vases and planters waterproof?
3D printing uses a porous structure by nature. While we strive to make our items as watertight as possible, we cannot guarantee they are 100% leak-proof over long periods. We recommend our vases primarily for dried flowers or as decorative covers. If you use fresh flowers, we suggest using a small internal glass or liner to be safe.
Why are there tiny "cobwebs" on my product?
Occasionally, you might spot some very fine, hair-like plastic strands on your item—we call these "cobwebs" (or micro-stringing). This is a completely normal part of the FDM printing process, occurring when the printer's nozzle moves between two points.
Pro Tip: These are incredibly easy to remove!
The Easy Way: A quick blast with a heat gun or even a hair dryer on high heat will make them vanish instantly.
The "Brave" Way: If you’re careful, a very quick pass with a lighter flame will do the trick too.
Note: Just be careful! PLA melts very fast, so keep the heat brief to avoid deforming the design (and watch your fingers!).
Caring for Your 3D Prints
Avoid Direct Sunlight
Prolonged exposure to harsh UV rays can cause colors to fade or the material to become brittle over time.
Keep it Cool
PLA is a thermoplastic, meaning it softens with heat. Keep your items away from direct heat sources (stoves, high-heat radiators, or hot cars). At temperatures above 75°C (167°F), the material may deform.
Cleaning
Simply wipe with a damp cloth. Our products are not dishwasher safe.
